Bromothymol Blue (also known as bromothymol sulfone phthalein, Bromthymol Blue, and BTB) is a chemical indicator for weak acids and bases. At a pH of 6.0 or lower, it appears yellow. It transitions in color between pH 6.0 and 7.6, becoming completely blue at pH 7.6.
