Benzyl Alcohol is a colorless liquid with a mild, pleasant aromatic odor. It is highly valued as a solvent due to its polarity, low toxicity, and low vapor pressure. Benzyl Alcohol, NF, plays a crucial role in the manufacturing of other benzyl compounds and serves as a pharmaceutical aid and preservative in numerous injectable drugs. Widely used in perfumery and flavoring, it is an organic aromatic alcohol naturally found in various fruits, teas, and essential oils such as Jasmine, Hyacinth, and Ylang-Ylang.
