Sodium Carbonate (Na₂CO₃)
Sodium Carbonate, also known as soda ash or washing soda, is an inexpensive alkaline compound used in detergents, water softening, and pH adjustment in swimming pools and aquarium water. It is soluble in water and glycol, insoluble in alcohol, noncombustible, and of low toxicity.
