Hydrogenated Rosin

Hydrogenated Rosin is a versatile adhesive enhancer that provides improved stability, lighter color, and less skin sensitization compared to unmodified pine rosin. With a wide range of compatibility with almost all polymers, Hydrogenated Rosin is well-known for its peel and tack contribution to adhesives. It imparts only a slight decrease in cohesive strength, especially in block co-polymer systems, and can be used in amorphous polyolefin based adhesives. Additionally, it has less UV absorption, making it suitable for UV curable polymer based adhesives. Its specific benefits include:

  • Lighter color
  • Significantly improved stability
  • Less to no skin sensitization (depending on the degree of hydrogenation)
  • Less UV absorption, making it suitable for UV curable polymer based adhesives
  • Imparts only a slight decrease in cohesive strength, especially in block co-polymer systems

CAS Number: 65997-06-0
