Potassium Alum, FCC
Potassium alum, also known as potash alum or potassium aluminum sulfate, has the chemical formula KAl(SO4)2·12H2O. Commonly referred to as alum, it is a versatile compound used in water purification, leather tanning, dyeing, fireproof textiles, and baking powder. It also has cosmetic applications as a deodorant, aftershave treatment, and styptic for minor shaving cuts.
