Polyvinyl Alcohol 30-99, Elvanol 71-30
PVOH Solution PreparationPVOH 30-99 (Elvanol® 71-30) is a medium-viscosity, fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol designed for applications requiring high tensile strength, tear resistance, and excellent adhesion to hydrophilic surfaces. This white granular polymer is soluble in hot water and forms transparent films upon evaporation. Insoluble in cold water and common organic solvents, PVOH 30-99 is widely used in the paper, textile, ceramic, and adhesive industries. Key applications include sizing for paper and textiles, ceramic fiber binder, and wallpaper glue. PVOH 30-99 offers excellent film-forming characteristics with superior resistance to tearing and high strength, making it a versatile polymer for coatings, adhesives, and emulsions. It is often applied using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
