Trisodium Phosphate (TSP), also known as Sodium Phosphate Tribasic, is a white, crystalline, granular or powdered compound with the formula Na₃PO₄·12H₂O·1/4 NaOH. It is primarily used as a heavy-duty cleaner, degreaser, and industrial additive for applications such as boiler water compounds, detergents, and metal cleaning. TSP is effective for cleaning walls, degreasing surfaces, and removing hydrocarbon residues. It can be combined with household chlorine bleach for mildew removal and is used in ceramics to lower glaze flow points. Certified to NSF/ANSI Standard with a max use of 41 mg/L.
